Hello, so my A2 Religious Studies exam is coming up in 3 weeks!!
My teacher has told us that we need to do extra reading for the topics (Cosmological Argument, Body, Soul and Personal Identity and Problem of Evil) so does anyone know where to start/how much is needed or if its even necessary?

I'm aiming for a B but I would quite like to go for the A as I got an A at AS so please help!

Thank you sooo much any advice is very welcome

I'm doing this exam and I am focusing on the Ontological Argument and the Problem of Evil I am only really reading my booklets my lecturer gave me because he claims that is all we will need, mind doing some reading around the topic can't hurt. I think it's too late to go out buying extra books so the internet will suffice. If you got an A at AS you should aim for the A at A2, I got an A at AS also and I am working towards the A overall

Anyone got any predictions of what may come up? I do think process thought may come up in the problem of evil but for the ontological argument, not a clue.

I really don't mind what Ontological argument question comes up. For the problem of evil, I don't expect a FWD question or general 'what is evil' kind of question or one relating too much to Hick's theodicy. I predict that it'll be a general Augustinian question, but then again, it really could be anything.

I would agree as not much has come up about Augustine yet, also Process theodicy and Logical/Evidential PofE. With Cosmo, Descartes might come up? What do you think?

In relation to the specification, I noted down what hasn't been asked about Ontological:
Descartes argument
Key objections to specifically Anselm
I think the 20 mark question will be to do with how successful the argument is as proof as God exists since the last two 20 markers were to do with specifically what God is to believers

Problem of evil:
Logical problem of evil
Existential problem of evil
No direct question asking for Augustine or Irenaean theodicy
Explanations of moral evil
Process theodicy
How far the theodicy of Augustine or Irenaeus succeeds for 20 markers

True, but I, and likely many others, haven't bothered trying to learn this

For ontological I was thinking perhaps Descartes and Kant as a part a? Possibly outlining Descartes argument and how Kant objects? Thought it might be a possibility since they haven't mixed up proponents and objectors yet? Problem of evili agree with possibly Augustinian??

I guess it's a possibility, though I don't think it'd be logical to implement those limits.

Good luck to anyone else taking this tomorrow.

The Ontological Argument question was awful! Did anyone do it? If so what content did you apply to both question 1 and 2?
