1. I know how to do it but i dont actually understand what it means.

f(x)=x^3+4x^2-3x=7

Find the sets of values of x for which f(x) is increasing?

Is it asking me what values of x such that the gradient of the curve is always positive?

or what values of x when i place into the curve will get an output thats positive y value?
