FP2 trig

hiya!:smile: having problems with trig in fp2. it's in the chapter about inverse trig functions. There are 6 equations that to solve but i'll just put one on here and see if anyone can show me how to do them!!!

Find the general solution of the equation. Where possible give your answer as a rational multiple of pi. otherwise leave your answer in a form involving an inverse trig function.

sin2x = sinx

i'd love any help!! thanks xxx

can you put sin2x=2sinxcosx and divide both sides by sinx? then it should be fairly easy to solve no?

sin2x = sinx
=> 2sinxcosx = sinx [identity]
=> 2sinxcosx - sinx = 0
=> sinx(2cosx - 1) = 0

x = arcsin(0) and x = arccos(1/2)
