Im currently repeating my year 12, AS year, and i was wondering if Uni's will mind if i do resit, especially for a civil and structural engineering course, at Leeds uni.
At my first attempt i was too lazy and thought i could fluke Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Psychology like i did in GCSE's, well i got what i deserved, 4 big fat straight U's , but this year i have completely turned my self around, im only doing 3 A levels, Maths, Physics and Religious studies (wanted to do psychology but in school it clashed with maths)
im working towards an A in all subjects,
my required grades are AAA at Leeds, but through access hoping to bring it down to ABB.

any help or advise would be great

First things first, some universities do have a problem with resits, but unless the requirements for the course or the uni specify that you can't take resits then you will be given equal consideration.
I think you are within a good chance to be made an offer as long as you have a good personal statement and address the reasons for getting poor grades.
You'll want to word it in such a way that shows your change in attitude and a way that reflects your maturity and commitment to what you want to do.
We have a personal statement team here that can help you when the time comes.

Civil engineering isn't as competitive as say medicine so I didn't think universities minded retakes of the year. I know they're fine with general resits though because I've got offers for civil and I put down a maths resit on my UCAS form.

Does it have to be Leeds? There are other universities that require lower grades. For example Surrey and Loughborough are both good for civil engineering and require AAB.

I have just finished my second year of civil engineering at Leeds Uni. And I retook every maths exam in year 13. And a few other exams too. Its the end result they look at, so you've no need to worry about resitting.

I am applying to Leeds uni for Civil Engineering I am only retaking 1 subject but I have an offer of AAB which they said They may reduce to ABB if I don't get my other A, so I am sure if you email Leeds they will phone/email you with what they think (that is what I did anyway)
