Firm Conditions not met, wish to firm my current insurance choice

I know that I have not met the conditions for my firm choice and I now want to decline that choice so my insurance becomes my firm. This is so I can apply for accommodation.

I have not seen any information on how I would be able to do this. Would I have to contact UCAS or the universities individually?
Are you saying that you are certain that your known grades wont get you the overall grade you need for your Firm offer? If you are certain (and I mean certain, not just 'not likely'), then you can phone your Firm and see if they would still accept you with the lower result. Do this first before you think about any other action. If you or your school/college have formal notification of the results, then tell the Uni you have this when you call.

I am certain that I have not attained the grades but we were not given anything in writing. Does this mean that this part has to be done through the universities not UCAS?
What is the qualification?
