I am doing my English literature exam on Of Mice and Men and need to know how the characters in the story and the novel itself portray what the great depression was like and how it conveys ideas about America in the 1930's e.g. crooks-racism, all the men working on the ranch-having to move around, poverty, barely any jobs, Curleys wife-sexism, women having no rights etc and how the characters represent all these factors.
Could anyone help me with example answers, tell me how to answer the question, what to talk about in my answer and what to include in it?
