I've been trying to lose weight and tone up for the last few weeks, and I know I need to incorporate some cardio into it. The thing is, I don't have much time for that because I have work. But I work in a restuarant so there's a lot of walking around. I work around 7 hours a night(4 or 5 days a week), and most of that is walking around. I was wondering if this counts as cardio?

Yes, I think it would. It's not intense cardio, but it's cardio nonetheless. You could try walking briskly (ie. quickly, but not so quickly that you break into a jog) to increase the benefits of it.

You don't have to do traditional cardio to lose weight, the main thing is to be in a calorie deficit. Being active and walking a lot at your restaurant is good though.

Having work full time as a waiter in a hotel, personally I would say no. It certainly burns calories and can be tiring after a long shift, but it's not what I would consider aerobic exercise by any stretch of the imagination. However i guess it is subjective.

When I'm stretched for time I have a 20 min workout that definitely gets my heart pumping.

I alternate between 20 burpees, 20 squats with dumbells.

If you have to ask whether something counts as cardio, then invariably it isn't.

OP - there are plenty of 10 minute cardio workouts on YouTube that will help you out here.

Cardio should get your heart rate up.
Walking around doing a waiting job wouldn't really get your heart rate up enough in my opinion to really class as exercise. I understand you may get rushed in that job, but for the most part you will just be walking at a normal pace - it's not really 'working' your body.

Lol, not sure if this is a serious response, but it's a good one
