    Hi Guys,

So the French AS exam is in two-ish days and counting, and after today's lesson (yep, a Saturday lesson), I feel more than before about Tuesday's paper.

Does anyone know what the grade boundaries are / were in January, or even have any tips or pieces of advice that can help ensure a decent grade?

There's quite a few tips being posted in this thread here http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=2350994

As for the grade boundaries for January:
    A - 89
    B - 81
    C - 74
    D - 67
    E - 60

But in June 2012, the grade boundaries were:
    A - 85
    B - 76
    C - 67
    D - 58
    E - 50

It's more likely that the grade boundaries for this exam will be more similar to June's because January has a lot of resitters (now A2 students) taking the exam for a second time.

Grade boundaries for January 2013 out of 110 were:
    A - 89
    B - 81
    C - 74
    D - 67
    E - 60

They change every year though, as in June 2012 they were much lower than that.

Advice: practice. It sounds obvious but it's the only thing that will help. Do all the past papers you can get your hands on, and practice as many essays as possible, since it's such a big chunk of your mark. Learn vocab, if you struggle to remember it then you could perhaps memorise a few key pieces for each sub-topic? Try and get one or more subjunctives into you essay if you can, and include structures (stuff like Premierement, En outre, Ce qui me frappe le plus, Je dirais que, J'en viens a conclure que)
