The war in Afghanistan

Vice have recently released a new documentary about the war in Afghanistan and the country's current situation.

It's separated into three ~30min videos and it's an interesting watch!

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKHPTHx0ScQ
(Link to the next video is in each description)

Enjoy

For those who don't have enough time to watch the videos, they basically highlight how little progress has actually been made in Afghanistan. There is a great deal of corruption and illegal behavior within the Afghan police force and the videos highlight just how broken the police force is.

Instead of just posting the video, as someone of us do not have an hour and 30 minutes to spare, would you be able to post an argument/comment of the video in order for those who do not have the aforementioned time to be able to comment?
This is what winning is = Rocky!!

Unjustified to say the least.

What's your argument here? Let's actually try to keep the standard of debate to some sort of acceptable level.

I don't think we ever really had much of a chance of achieving much in Afghanistan. The best we can hope for is that al Qaeda and other groups don't flood back in straight away once we leave

Vice makes the best documentaries.
We have no business bombing Afghanistan. What we should have done is listen to what the Afghan people want, not telling them what to have. Didn't watch the video, but Vice do some cool documentaries.

The British invaded Afghanistan more than 100 years ago and came out with a bloody nose. The Russians then attempted this too and the result was the same. We've lost more than 500 of our boys now, unless there's an imminent threat, we're better just leaving them alone. We're in their territory in heat we're not used to.

I just got through watching the documentary. It's infuriating to hear about the rampant sexual slavery of young boys by the Afghan police commanders. On top of that the International forces are working side by side with these child molesters and are not even prosecuting those responsible. Not even when there is substantial evidence incriminating thosed police commanders. Winning "hearts and minds." :sigh:

Not to mention how incompetent the Afghan National Army is shown to be. Afghanistan is sure to end up in the hands of the Taliban again and I'm not even sure if that's a bad thing when considering how the Afghan National Army operates.
