epilators are awesome for legs. my hair grows back after ages and its all soft and downy. basically its just like en electric shaver, but instead of cutting the hairs off, it plucks them out. its hard to imagine what the blade bit looks like until you actually see one. i use it on underarms too, it hurts but you get used to it after a while. i would recommend epilators over electric shavers any day. as for bikini line, other than waxing i dont think theres anything that really works properly and lasts. my friend got a brazilian wax down there and it left her with hideous bruises along her bikini line, it was horrifying!! one off case though.

Epilators are amazing - underarm works really well, although it hurts like a b*tch, but stays hair-free for yonks. Too scared to use it down-there though, as my cousin tried and got into a 'tangle' which required several people wit scissors...

It hurts more to epilate under your arms than it does to epilate down there! You get used to it after a while anyway

veet, its easier and doesn't hurt or irritate

Ouch! Surely trim the hair 'down there' first! Then use the epilator.

Seiko Cleancut - yes it's pricey, but easy to maintain (just one battery)... smoothest shave you will EVER get I can assure you... no razor burn.. no cuts.. just awesome.

All you have to do is make sure the area is dry (talcum powder) and the hair is already very short.

Highly recommended ^^

it hurts.

hello all, i didnt realise that many of you would be interested

-This is pretty much how i was taught to do it. However i have never used brown sugar, possibly thats better.

-You will also need some sort of wax strip. Anything round the house that you can find would do, eg. I cut up an old bed sheet. But the material cannot be stretchy.

-It is extremely important to get the portions right. The most important ingredient is the lemon juice and it is this that turns the liquid into wax. If you put too much lemon juice, then the wax would become really hard and wouldnt work. If you put too little, then the wax remains liquid.

-Remember to let it cool! Feel it with your finger before applying to ensure it isnt too hot otherwise you'd burn yourself! This might sound common sense but i have burnt myself before when i thought i had waited long enough! thank goodness it wasnt "down there"!! :p:

-I hope this goes without saying, but.. Waxing you need to practise at it to get it right. And please do not use it "down there" on your first time! Because it hurts and you will need to get used to the pain and also you need to get the technique right. So maybe try it on your legs first.

- Your pores will go red but that should only last a couple of hours.

-If you want to use it for underarms, i personally found i couldnt do this on my own. So if you want to wax your underarms, get someone to help you.

-Very short hair will not come off with waxing. I also use an epilator or just shave if i want something quick and easy and the hair is very short, but if you do have time and want the result to be good and lasts for a longer while, then go for waxing

Almost certainly you will find this to be messy, but once you get used to it and get the technique right, it will feeel soo goood! Honestly, nearly all the hair would be gone with one wax strip, i find over time less hair grows back, and the hair that does grow back is much softer and thinner, waxing also removes dead skin cells, therefore leaving behind beautiful smooth skin

REMEMBER: im not an expert on waxing! even though i do it. So if you're gonna try this, take care! :p:

how much is a cup?

Bah, I tried to use bikini wax strips and I found they didn't get rid of the hair properly AND they hurt a bit. So I thought screw that, I'll stick to shaving.

i dont like veet it seems to darken ya skin, eitha shave or wax is a better option

waxing is REALLY PAINFUL i admit it will change from person to person but no way is a complete stranger ever doing that to me again!! you can get special hair removing stuff for down there from boots you can also get cream which soothes it
oh and i use veet on my legs and after using it once you dont get the whole harsh you could light a match from it stubble its softer thinner and grows back a hell of a lot slower...

Reply 53

I wouldn't use Veet down there. You have to watch where it goes especially because it's technically not supposed to be used there.
I would say shave, but I've gotten an ingrown hair from that which I've had for nearly a year. They're pure evil.
I'd recommend the Boots cream though.

how much is a cup?

The metric measurement of 1 cup is 250ml...there's also the rather random American version which is 236ml.

You can get tiny disposable razors from boots! Mini ones especially for bikini lines! x

You know if you use Immac "down there," what does it feel like when the hair grows back? Shaving or even trimming left me in agony when it was growing back all horrible and spiky, so I just wanted to know if you get the same painful and itchy effect when it grows back after Immac-ing, or what? And does it really work on that kind of thick hair? It won't even work on my leg hair so I've got my doubts about it working...there :s

I make the wax at home and i do the waxing myself. (if anyone wants to know how to make it at home, just ask me) I have also tried shaving, and by far waxing is better and thus worth the pain. Just ripping off one wax strip and all the hair is gone on one side!
Hii, I've been shaving my vag for about 3-4 years now every week. The hair now seem to be very very dark an thick. I now want to start waxing, but I'n scared. what shall I do?
