C3 - Range of function with e

f(x) = e^2x - 3

Find the range

I get the answer f(x) greater or equal to -2 but the answer is -3 and I don't see how?

Set when x = 0 1-3=-2?

Thanks

What happens as xx \to - \infty ?

Also I'm sure you mean -3 is the answer or your function must be different.

Well, I get -3 but the smallest value of e^2x is not when x=0 but when x << 0. i.e. large and negative

Ahhh ok cheers, got it now!

range is the set of y valued d graph takes a normal e^x with no minuses or reflections or movements generally has a range of f(x) greater then 0 however with that function the graph is dropped with a scale factor 3 hence d graphs range is thus greater then -3 note tht it isnt equal to as the graph is asymptotic to x=0 so when moved down by 3 will b asymptotic to -3
