A murderer is condemned to death. he has to choose between 3 rooms. the first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assasins with loaded guns, and the third is full of lions that havn't eaten in three years. which one is safest for him?
This raging fire you talk of, would that be a lighter?

This assasin you talk of, would it be an assasin bug?

This lion you talk of, wouldn't it be dead?

Can you name 3 consecutive days without using the words Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday? (putting them in other languages does not count)

and

There are two different rooms, you cannot see one room from the other...there are three lightbulbs in one of these rooms, and these are connected to three switches in the other room. If you were allowed to visit each room once how could you tell which switch belonged to which bulb?

You can't actually check any of these rooms when choosing, so the safest choice would be the lions.

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day
That wasn't the actual answer but to manage to find another solution is good.

Switch on one light bulb. Go into one room. Switch off light switch. Go to another room.

Match the one with the light shinging with the switch on one. Match the one with the hot bulb with the first one. And the one that is cold bulb and = 3rd switch
