Grizedale College: Applicants 2013/14!

I set up a thread in November about computer science applicants, but not really mingled with anyone properly. I will most likey get on better with flat mates because there will be mix gender whereas I will possibly be the only female on my course theres usually less than 10% girls, and some girls might take it as a minor so I won't be in every class/seminar. I really hope theres another female, I love guys, but i miss the female company since ive been the only girl on my course at college for the past two years ha .

I had a big debate on whether to bring it or not, but I think for the first month i'll probably be using it a lot, but I'm very sociable so I don't think I will avoid everyone haha. Plus i'll have GTA 5, FIFA 14 and the new COD (unless it's released mid oct-nov) around the time we move in so it'll be good. Also I have downloaded a lot of movies and going to download more over summer and put on my external hard drive so my TV will come in handy to stream from my Mac if I hook it up, can be a nice way to socialise and eat junk food hehe

True. I was looking at computer science too, since i'm quite good at that stuff I think its an actual fact that it's easier for girls to get into CS courses at uni than boys, simply because of the ratio. Haha blimy, I bet that was freaky!

Ugh i'm so excited for GTA 5 and FIFA. It's a shame GTA is coming out so close to when I move out though! I might be putting some nights in to try complete the main story before uni :P Can't be bothered with COD anymore myself :P Awesome. I just have sims on my mac, that takes up enough room as it is Haha yes indeed!

I also got my e-mail. I've firmed Grizedale and insured Furness (both superior en-suite and 40 weeks) i think ill pay for it tonight (or whenever i get the e-mail) since I already have the deposit money .

Does anyone know if accommodation is "first come first served", I really want Grizedale!

Yeah its easier in the real world when applying for jobs too . I cannot wait I don't think I'll get the PS4 till like after uni unless i feel like spending the money lol. What Mac have you got? My bro has all the sims games - literally LOL well apart from the new one Sims Island lol. I have 500gb plus a 500gb external hard drive so I doubt ill use up the memory LOL.

Firmed Grizedale, insured Furness. Just the 3 year BSc - I don't have A Level Maths!

But I emailed admissions as I was wondering whether studying abroad was an option for me, and they replied basically saying that most students have the opportunity to change the structure of their degree at the end of the first year depending on how well they do in exams etc.

I don't have a-level maths either doing BTEC lol. I can get on either course. And good luck with any exams you have

I study German, French and History. Nothing to do with Computer Science, but I have a great interest in computers and programming in my free time. Lancaster was one of the only universities that didn't require maths.

Ps. does anyone know how sound proof the rooms are by any chance? :3 not for 'those' reasons... it's just cause I'm a very nocturnal person and I love to chat on skype late in the night, so I was hoping the walls would be fairly sound proof so the peeps next door won't hate me :P

Hey so I thought I'd make a thread for anyone applying to Grizedale at Lancaster Uni for 2013/14 accademic year.

When I get the e-mail to apply I will be firming Grizedale and insuring either Furness or County
