Yeah, i'd like to know too.

I think 2004 was about 60% in the non calculator for an A*, can someone confirm that please? In 2005 it was higher but an easier paper .

I remember seeing these posted before.

2005:

Paper 5525/05 (Non Calculator) - Higher:

A* - 75/100
A - 56/100
B - 37/100
C - 19/100

Paper 5525/06 (Calculator) - Higher:

A* - 83/100
A - 61/100
B - 39/100
C - 17/100

2004:

Paper 5505 (Non Calculator) - Higher:

A* - 61/100
A - 45/100
B - 29/100
C - 14/100

Paper 5506 (Calculator) - Higher:

A* - 61/100
A - 45/100
B - 29/100
C - 13/100
u remember lmao what just off the top of your head :p: b ut yeah they seem about right. in 2004 they did two solid hard papers in a row after each one promising that they ahd learnt and wouldnt make them that hard again. I know this was the case when i did mine last year cos it was a piece of piss, but its been a year, they might suddenly go all hard again, however i doubt it, i would imagine the grade boundaries will be the same as in 2005

13/100 for a C? 13%??!

...Wow.

I love that the grade boundries are so low.
And when they were quizzed on them last year, they told everyone that that is how they shall stay, as they are reflective of the paper.

I meant I remember seeing them posted somewhere, so all I did was search that specific thread.

Lets think about it this way.

Coursework, if you did it is 20% of your final grade ( I think, can somebody confirm this ). That means if the grade boundaries are like '04 this year, which i doubt, i will have already passed my Maths lol.

I reckon the grade boundaries this year will be somewhere in-between the last two years.

But that paper is very easy IMHO. I have done the Nov05 and got like 90%+ whereas in the 04 June paper I got 78% I think. It was very tough, when I marked it I was was worried wondering how I got so low, but the grade bounsaries reflect the paper.
^90% includes coursework btw..i'm sure because people in my year done the paper early.

Is that right? I though the papers were equally weighted, so should have the same boundaries

One paper could have been easier so more people did well on that paper, therefore the grade boundries go up
Surely it would be better to have a score out of 200 for both papers combined?

I'm quite sure they don't base boundaries on how many people get a certain grade otherwise it could make papers different difficulties (relative to grades) based on standards.

June 2003 are hard to get a hold of, I've contacted many of my friends and none of them seem to have it.
Does anyone have the examiner report for any year for the edexcel board?

If so please email me: [email protected] will rep if you want!
