Complex Numbers (FP3)

3i). Solve the equation z^3 = i [4 marks]
ii). Hence find the possible values for the argument of complex number w, such that w^3 = i(w*)^3 [4 marks]

I can manage part i fine, but I'm not too sure on how to solve part ii.
call z3 = w3/w*3

z = w/w*

So you know the possible arguments for z, you've already worked them out.

so when you divide two complex number, you minus their arguments, thus

argw - argw* = A for a certain argument

but argw* = -argw (w* is just a reflexion in the real axis)

so argw = A/2
