C3 Maths question EDEXCEL
Hi, I was wondering if I would get the marks for this question? My answer is not in the same form as the mark scheme.
Also, how did they get the arc sin answer? Is my method the best way to answer these type of questions?

They just rearranged the original equation to 2y+6=arcsin(x/4), then subbed that into dy/dx=(8cos(2y+6))^-1. I haven't looked in detail at your answer but, in general, any correct solution will gain full credit unless otherwise specified. Given that your method is much more complicated here, I would say it makes more sense to do it how the mark scheme has.. but really as long as you do it correctly it doesn't matter
