exactally same position Bio on monday history on wed and on friday i have economics but if i do fail and screw up ahh well it will all be ok dont worry

Reply 5

dont worry. If you ve done your work during the year you wont even need to do any more. It is just important that you are focused during the exam and maybe read through the syllabus the night before-that usually helps...
And, indeed, surfing TSR wont help....

SNAP!

In fact i've just had a minor fit and a good cry about it.

Biology is my easiest subject so i actually havent even looked at it, and i know with revision i could get an A, but i havent even bothered so the best i can hope for is a B.
Chemistry i've done minimal revision which is ****e because i could do well in that had i revised.
History i got an A in the mock so cruised it at havent even lookeed at a whole module.

Worst thing is i'm a night before crammer and i've just realised i've only got 4hrs on tues night to revise chem and history.
I've just run around my house screaming obsenities.

Failing here i come...i can already imagine the absolute gutted feeling im going to get on results day.
GCSEs got cruised by with no revision at all, but now i'm in ****.
I dont know what i can say to make you feel better, because i know exactly how crap your feeling.

ETA: On the plus side, retakes, gap year, next years A2's.... if you really feel you havent reached your potential, dont go to a rubbish uni if you think you can do better. Work your socks off for A2, see who takes you and who rejects you, if you feel you can go somewhere better, take a year out and apply after you've got your A-levels (my idea)

Yes...time does seem to run out fast unfortunately.

Reply 8

don't worry about it.

worse case scenario would be you fail. So what? just redo the exams in january.

don't you just love this module system?

Reply 9

have exactly the same exams as you! havnt done any for history one part of chem, n havnt even finished biology! just think retakes :p:

Reply 10

Just get cramming now. You can do it. Go through the syllabus sheets and familiarise yourself with the topics you struggle with.
You can resit, but still give it all you've got!!!

Reply 11

Calm down. It is possible to cram. That's what I did for history and modern studies last year.

It just means you have to be incredibly focused and diligent. I went by the revise all day with 10-20 minute breaks shoved in every 2 hours and an early nights sleep.

But you must MUST calm down and just get down into revision. Don't try and learn everything off by heart either.

One of the most comforting things you might want to hear is that THOUSANDS of students are in exactly the same position. I too haven't done half as much revision as I should have done, but cramming at the last moment can still be effective. Try and stay calm (that's rich coming from me!).....

I have the ability to actually spend the entire day learning everything, only breaking for lunch and supper. I only seem to acquire this ability a few days before exams, however. In the few weeks before, I only seem to have the ability to spend the entire day taking a huge break. My point? You can be far more productive in a day than you think you can, because when you've only got one day left you'll work like hell.

I hope you do fail.

Why are you anonymous? Ashamed of what you have to say or something and cant reveal your identity? WHIMP!!!!

Im screwed too, no matter how much i do, theres tons still left to do, and these are my A2s which means no retakes or anything! Just try your best and work hard.. THEN you can play hard and go on TSR

RETAKES! Dont panic! And you know more than you think you do..

I've not read all of the other posts so might be repeating but here's my two-cents.
1) It's never too late, learn basics, maybe take a few gambles on what may come up. If you think you can blag stuff then learn a little of everything, if not then do more in-depth.
2) You're in year 12, right? You always have resits...
I would worry too much, a girl in my year walked out of an A2 maths exam cos she couldn't do it... Be thankful it's AS.

Worst comes to worse you can run off to Czechoslovakia and join the Russian mafia.
