Quick pill question

The pack says that your supposed to take the pill on the first day of your period. Does it matter if you take it after you start bleeding?

That's all I wanted to know. Thanks for any help :smile:

I don't think it really matters, but if you're using it for contraception then use another method for 7 days.

I assume so. o_O How would you know it was the first day of your period unless you start bleeding?

And (with most pill brands) you can start taking it whenever you want, you just need to use backup for a week, instead of being protected right from the beginning.

hmm..i don't trust the pill 100% to work.. not the point but still.

i'd try and start it on the first day, as then it will probably work better.. if not, then, meh.. i don't know.

1st day of your period?? what pill are you on? you would usually have a pack then take a 7 day break when you have your period then take the next pack on when your period should be finishing.

edit: unless you just started the pill in which case it would be on the first day

Paranoid? If you were really paranoid you just wouldn't hgave sex. There is still pre-come, and other things that contain sperm and are in you, even if you move the removal method of birth control. More importantly, its totally cruel to your boyfriend!
