Oh and I havnt done the weights since. I heard it was best to wait 3 or 4 days before repeating it.

well if it hurts, let it rest, and use something lighter than 15kg
If this is the first time you have done them then ofcourse they are going to hurt. I'd wait atleast a week. Usually, you only need atleast 48 hours of rest in between. But i unno...

2 to 3 sets of 6 - 8 is perfect. Its very hard to damage you bicept so I'm pretty sure you havn't damaged it in any way. My guess is that you may have over done it a little bit, if ever I super set a muscle group I have the same tightness in the muscle. Try stretching your bicept this will lengthen the muscle and you should be able to straighten your arm once again! I'll wake up some days and struggle to wipe my arse. anyway belows a stretch for your bicept:

You'll need to rest for about 2 days before working them again. Instead of just sitting on your arse try working othe muscles, say your tricepts. Belows a link that should give you some ideas how to work each muscle. Theres pages and pages, some you need equipment but half you can do just as well, if not better with dumbells .

hope to be of some help

It's normal for them to hurt when you start. If they still hurt after the 3-4 time you do it, then there'd be a problem.

Otherwise just make sure you stretch before/after exercises, make sure you do the exercises properly (no cutting corners/ using other muscles to 'help' etc.) and rest for 2-3 days before you do the same muscle group again.

Your grand mate. tbh, I get peeved if the part i worked out aint hurting after a workout. Means you've worked them, and they'll be rebuilding themselves. The fact that you've also just started will mean you feel them more.

I had that the first couple of times... apparently it means its working well.
If you're working your muscles properly should you feel this each morning after you work-out?
Reply 13
just because you hurt the next morning it doesn't necessarily mean you've stimulated growth.

people who havn't stretched for a long time who restart will get awful DOMS the next morning. It isn't "soreness=inches on [insert muscle name]".

Sorry.

true. but it can also be a good sign if you've stretched blah blah and it still hurts...

dont work on your biceps again for a week as this is the recovery time for your muscles to get used to the excercise and grow thicker. do no more than 5 - 6 excercises and as it was ur first time it is porbs why it is hurtin, it kills the first time but as you progress your muscles will get used the pressure you are applying.
Take less weight next time...you might have overdo it! Further a massage might help....?!
And ask professional advise when you go to the fitness*

If you can do six reps properly you're unlikely to be using too much weight.

Train them more often(2x a week) and you'll stop getting DOMS altogether, even if they hurt more at first.
