Best Uni to Study Human Geography

GCSE's:A's-6,B's-4
Currently studding: Business, Geography, IFS finance and ICT (it is most likely that I'm going to drop ICT).I am predicted mostly B's in my A levels.

I have looked at: Leeds, Leeds Met, Nottingham, Nottingham Trent, Reading and Leicester for geography degrees. But I would particularly like to study human geography rather than physical geography.

Have I looked a Uni's that have a higher entry requirement, that I am unable to achieve? And if so is this because they will not except IFS?

I have only looked at these uni's and I would like to hear others opinions of Human Geography courses.

I would be grateful for any guidance
A good website is www.whatuni.com Enter Human Geography as a subject and Search. This will give you a long list of Unis/course. You can add filters like your predicted A levels grades and see what Unis ask for this.

You then need to look at the relevant University websites and read the actual course descriptions carefully. No two Geography courses will be exactly the same. You need read the descriptions of all the optional units in each of the three years. Which would you choose - and why? Do you want a course that has a Year Abroad or a work placement? You will lalso find that many 'Geography' courses have within them Human Geography options within them, so dont discount them. Also look at courses like Social Anthropology and International Development - these are closely related to Human Geography and may also interest you.

No-one here can 'recommend' a Uni for you - it depends on your own interests, needs and comforts.

I'm not sure about IFS but even though the requirement for places like Nottingham are around AAB/ABB which is above the BBBB you said, it's very likely you could achieve one or two grades higher at A2. For example, I'm predicted BBBD for AS right now but did revision for my exams and will probably get around AABC

Okay, I shall bare that in mind. Thank you very much.
I went to Newcastle uni on Saturday and they have a specialism in economic geography and do a lot of research into it. That's what I'm interested in doing and I was impressed with the uni as a whole. I'd look into it if you were wanting to study something like that
