Nerves

i hope this is the right place to put this but it is about health soo

i have my 2nd driving test today and i am sooo nervous i feel like i am going to be sick and faint, i just feel like there is so much pressure on me to pass this time and i dont feel i can pass at all :frown:

i cant stop shaking and thats not going to be good for driving- people say stay calm and relaxed, i cant though its all i think about

does anyone have any advice or tips, please help me
I was like that at interview.

If it is any help it got better once the interview started. A little.
Some advice here:

Breathe in for few seconds, then breathe out for a longer period....repeat this.

Prior to it all starting, i supposed you could deliberately get yourself nervous, then your body adjusts to the heart beat rate et cetera...and it's controlled more, controlled nerves, i've done this on many an occasion.

If you feel sick, for times like these, maybe you need a medication to settle yourself and your stomach...i.e. so that at least you can stomach some food prior to the big day and big event - however, you shouldn't willy nilly go for propranolol if your nerves aren't too bad.... Try a mix of the first two

yes, i'd advise only going on meds (i much prefer the word 'medication') as a last resort really, besides propranol, at least for the first few times of taking, it can strike you as to how relaxed, almost tired/weary you can become...and you don't want this when on a driving test.

Good luck. Good breathing exercises should do the trick...failing this, well also, combine that with visualizing the forthcoming scenario, that may trigger you getting nervous, then you'll be more used to feeling nervous (it'll feel less of a foreign feeling to you), allow your body to adjust to nerves triggered...this helps too.

aww excellent

How many minors? And did the breathing help?

Well done, funnily enough i was never nervous in any of my three driving tests - the first one i screwed up badly at an approach to a roundabout, nearly crashing into another car, the second test perfect, but the little sod perceived that i didnt brake early enough prior to a pelican crossing (which was utter crap), and third time was fine. I still maintain i passed second time around as i was gravely hard done then

congrats on passing!

with the nervousness thing in general, its very easy to let the nerves build up... then you start to feel ill, and all kinda snowballs. the best way to stop it is to breath slowly & deeply - your breathing goes all shallow and quick when you start to panic so by doing breathing exercises you're forcing your heart to slow down and be more relaxed

Well done . I get really nervous about things to, but there are ways around it. I took tablets for a few days etc.
