So, to continue the trend of morality-based questions...

A previous thread discussed whether stealing bread is always immoral if it is to save your starving child. Some people in that thread were of the opinion that certain actions are always immoral, no matter the circumstances.

So, I'm curious - what do you think? Are some actions always immoral? Is murder, for example, sometimes the moral thing to do?

Post your opinions below! Scenarios as well are always welcome, they can be a good way to explain moral conflicts.

How about if killing one child could save others? Just curious to see the answers to this, no pressure

Why on earth would I want to keep a race going through rape?

Everything can be justified, by saying 'What if it was to prevent the bad thing happening lots more?'
So it becomes a game of infinity +1.

I would consider that wrong because it would have been against their will and consent. They would be forced to have responsibility for that child as it's theirs, and they're having their decisions made for them to continue the human race as you say.

Interesting. So if it came down to it, you would rather the human race ended than raped the woman/en in the scenario?

That sounded sarcastic, didn't mean to

Not raping them yourself, but you would be fine with them being raped.

Interesting. So you feel the rights of the individual trump those of the species?

Yes, I would rather let the human race end than rape the woman.

(I understand that it wasn't sarcastic. Just having a hypothetical discussion )

The woman would accept the rape anyway to further mankind, so it would be consensual.

Nobody deserves to be raped. Rapists are scum, but they should be dealt with by the judicial system. Other people taking matters into their own hands won't make it right.

I prefer seeing things from principle over practicality and I do prefer individualism and individuals over collectivism and societal arguments. In answer to your question, yes, but I need to read more into it. My biggest problem is that if something is deemed a benefit for species as a whole, where is the line drawn and we're not all the same, there are different groups etc.
