Arms and moles and stuff *disgusting warning*

Ok, this is going to sound stupid, I apologise.

Does anyone know how to tell if a mole could be cancerous? Is there any way pf being able to tell?

Also - I just noticed a spot-type thing on my arm. It was like...like a drop of blood (like you get when you have an injection) except it had a spot like feeling. I picked it off (being disgusting, I know) and now I have a slight needle - style wound on my arm. I swear it wasn't there this morning.

So - anyone know what this could be?

I am not a doctor but:

A mole could be cancerous if it is painful or if it is getting bigger. If you have had it all your life and it has stayed the same you have nowt to worry about. But if it is getting bigger or changing shape you should get it checked out by a doctor.

As for the other thing... I dont know.

theres plenty of websites showing the symptons of cancerous moles - the most important one is rapid change. I've got a few im worried about, im going to get them checked out by a doctor.

Doctors, from what I understand, have a really simple little test to check if a mole is cancerous. Its worth getting these things checked - especially, as monster said, if you have noticed any rapid change.

It is possible for a mole to become cancerous if scratch at, I believe. So get it checked out.

if moles change size/shape or colour or starts to itch/hurt you should definatly get it checked out.
maybe you were abducted by aliens and they took a sample of your blood?

Mmhm - thats exactly what I thought, about the alien thing.
I wondered why I blanked out for a couple of minutes =)

Thanks.

ive had a mole removed, because the specialist thought it was suspicious. The biopsy came back and it was completely normal.

So knowning that, if you have a suspicious mole, go see your gp. Because you cant self diagnose, since a specialist can get it wrong. However if they are in doubt they will remove it for your there and then, it took me 30mins and i got 4 stitches because they have to remove alot of the surrounding area.
