Hey, I'm looking to do a EPQ, but I'm stuck on ideas.
I would like to take Law at university so my EPQ Essay (Around 5k words) should be around Law.

Can anyone list some good topics/questions I could do my EPQ on? I need something which would be interesting and easy to write about.

Anything to do with Law would help my applications :]

Thanks for your help.

Well, it depends on what area of Law you perhaps hope to go into.

But I would choose something that is not on the syllabus or specification of your Law degree at whatever university. So that in the interview you can really impress the interviewers with your showed interest in the different area that isn't featured in the syllabus.

So I would choose something that you are interested in, but make sure the topic is small enough to write that amount on, don't try to answer any big questions!

Good luck!

HI!
I am also doing the EPQ, you dont have to do it specific to law as that way you can show another interest. Thats what i am doing...i basing mine on food science and our psychological appeal to different dishes.
You could try subjects like:
Is censorship justified?
Has globalisation led to an increase in the exploitation of female workers?
Is shakespeare still relevant?
Has reality TV created a generation of everyone wanting fame?
Has the mainstream media really corrupted our world?
um... To what extent is free speech and human right?
Just how ethical is it to represent a criminal in the eyes of the law?
Can you allow your ethics to interfere when dealing with the matter of the law? MLK understood that ideas about individual liberty and civil justice must come from prior assumptions concerning the law.
How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust?

Hope this helps, if your need any more ideas let me know

Is it worthwhile doing an EPQ for Law? I'm undecided at the moment. I've spoken to a few students/admissions tutors and they didn't seem too fussed. Not certain if it's the best use of time??? Any thoughts appreciated.

How about something on whether trials should be televised? That's a topic I've studied and there's actually a lot to write about.

Of course, that's only one suggestion. Just make sure you choose a topic you enjoy, or else you'll get bored!

I'm starting my EPQ on the 1st of October. I am considering doing a Food Science Degree after A-levels and am wondering if anyone has any ideas of a project that I could do based around food science. Thanks!!!
