Yeah pretty new looking, but it's been there a couple of years I reckon.

Even somewhere like Mansfield has two Spoonies, The Court House (Bottom Weatherspoons) and The Widowfrost (Top Weatherspoons).
Mansfield you say? Interesting.

The one in Ferndown is pretty happening :0|

(ps Ferndown = small suburb of Bournemouth which has a Tescos *and* a Sainsbury's  ...I'm not sure how the residents cope with the excitement)

The one in Cambridge is very very very big. Not enough bartenders though, and full of townies. Yuk.

Yah I guess so, quite surprising though.

Exactly.
Not everywhere. And in the daytime there are hardly any townies!

Beats McDonalds and it doesn't cost that much more.

They leave their mark - i.e. sticky floors, smoke, fag burns etc....

I admit I don't know anywhere cheaper than that place.

The best Wetherspoons in the UK has to be The Knights Templar on Chancery Lane in Central London.

Followed by The Regal in Gloucester.....

I like Matchmaker in Bow, London. But not Stepney's offering, the Half Moon, they barred me the other day...

Apparently it's the biggest pub in Europe or something. It's not that nice, and the staff are quite slow (my friend who works in a Wetherspoons at home gets very annoyed with them) but it's cheap compared with some other pubs, so it's ok if you want to get out of college-land for a night.

One of my most embarassing alcohol-fuelled nights of Michaelmas term began there, something I'm not anxious to relive!

Isn't The Moon Under Water on Charing Cross Rd the largest Spoons in the country?

Dunno, could well be. It's just what we get told, could easily be wrong.
