I'm doing zoology at Nottingham next year, hopefully that is!
There is plenty of info on their website about choice of modules:

http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/biology/courses/undergraduate-degrees/zoology.phtml?menu=zoo

But it would be good to hear from anyone currently doing the course to find out what its really like.
Just so you know, nottinghma is currebtly ranked around equal to cambridge for many of its biology based kinda sciences. ANd i recommend you write in the nottingham thread under universities... theres loadsa lovely people there who'd be happy to answer your questions - they've answered mine!

Bit late, but zoology at Notts is great! :-)

I graduated last year, and really enjoyed it.

Make sure you do the hormones and reproduction module in year 2 (or year 3 if you're really smart as it's worth more then!) - the Prof. is the best, the exam is multiple choice, and everyone does really well!

There's lots of choice of modules - you have much more flexibility than the biology students (many of them transferred to zoology during their degrees). I did all sorts of things, from conservation to behaviour to anthropology to embryology..

There are a few opportunities for field trips too, including one module which is entirely a field trip to Portugal.

Workload is fine. By the 3rd year I think I had only 9-12 hrs per week of lectures, so there's loads of time to do all the extra reading etc that you need to do.

Hope this helps.
