1. the times - Tory
2. the star - No idea sorry.
3. the daily mirror - I seem to remember them being Labour before. Could be wrong tho.
4. the sun - were Labour at last elections, but Rupert Murdoch owns them so they'll change allegiance if he says so. Its not right that one man should have so much influence.
5. the daily mail - They seem to be anti-everything, but particularly anti-labour, and they're not renowned for being liberal so I guess Tory.
6. the daily express - quite right wing
7. the independent - independent, funnily enough
8. the guardian - Lib Dems, but not die-hard. Its quite a liberal paper.
You also missed out the Daily Telegraph, which has a reputation for being very tory.

1. the times - nearly always tories. in 2001 supported labour.
2. the star - not what you'd call a serious political paper. typically very populist and right wing, although it also supported labour in 2001.
3. the daily mirror - labour, always.
4. the sun - bastion of thatcherism, supported labour in 1997/2001, because murdoch hates to back a loser.
5. the daily mail - always tory.
6. the daily express - nearly always tory, though labour in 2001.
7. the independent - er, well, officially independent. left leaning though, if it were to endorse a party, it would be labour.
8. the guardian - labour, although if the liberals were a credible force, they might support them.
9. the telegraph - completely tory.

I'm quite sure the Times is a Labour paper. The Sun and Times are owned by the same company, Rupert Murdoch's, and I'm sure he and Blair were quite chummy before the 1997 elections. Didn't they strike a deal that Murdoch's papers would help Blair's campaign?

Another thing. Labour isn't left, it's centre-right.

I have no sympathy for you - i endured seven long lessons consisting of triple history, double biology + double psychology - horrible  and tommorow i look forward to attending a long tedious conference. Should be fun so i'll catch my sleep in order to say awake Night all.
