What area of study do you need to work for MI6?

Or MI5, too. What degree subject? Bachelor's? Master's?

Wouldn't making this thread rule out your chances anyway? I've read that you're not allowed to tell anyone if you intend to work in intelligence fields, maybe that's just to friends and family but I assume a public forum still counts. I don't think it's one of those things where you take a test and they just hand you a job. You have to be exceptionally skillful in something that they want which probably changes.

Here's your standard MI5 stuff, they don't specify an education but they have their own eligibility tests and interviews.

Then you get your IT related stuff which want CompSci, Maths, or various others at 2:1.

Hope this gives you sort of an idea, also MI5 have a website with vacancies.

Depends on what you want to do, number crunching and stuff like that you can apply for, they have an advert on graduate-jobs.com at the mo
