Being vaccinated twice

Ok basically I went to the doc's today, and they said I needed a tetanus/polio injection and a meningitis C injection - the nurse said 'I'm going to give you meningitis C vaccination as well cos we have no record of you having had the injection - unless you had it done somewhere else' and I said no I hadnt BUT as I left the GP I remembered I think they gave us meningitis C vaccinations at my school when I was like in year 8 or something - and I'm in year 13 now. Does it matter that I've had 2 meningitis C vaccinations?

OMG u r goin 2 die!

 Just kidding, you should be fine, cause if you're already vaccinated, you already have immunity, yay.

 Cool, that's what I thought - but I just wanted to make EXTRA sure

i dont think its a problem, but consult your GP if you're really worried.

Nope it doesn't matter - though you will probably get a localised reaction round the injection site, like a stiff arm for a bit. That's what they told me when they gave me tetanus and polio twice when I didn't need it again.

You often get that anyway, it is the result of having things jabbed in, lol.

Yeah I know that! I've certainly had enough jabs recently to know plenty about the side effects! It was just a *lot* worse when I had the injection I didn't need! To the extent that I couldn't actually lift anything with the arm that had the jab  But don't worry too much OP, I always have a bad reaction to these things

You'll be fine - the same thing once happened to me when I bizarrely fell off of a moving train in India, and I was perfectly fine - my Dad (who is a doctor) said that there wouldn't be anything to worry about, and I'll happily take his word for it.
