Yeah, I think the report will be on something like that like opening the new village as well....My teacher says the report might be on the "Future Plans" section at the end of the case study. So I'm going to revise alot on:

1)"How the exchange rates and the economy affect Centre Parcs"

2)Premium customers and business customers - whether it is a good idea to attract these customers and if so, what improvements should be made or is it a good idea to still target the families.

But it's also a good idea to learn all the the business studies terms in the case study too..

Also, My teacher has told us to concentrate on "Sources of Finance" for some reason - so internal and external sources of finance - But I'm not sure where it comes up in the case study - I guess it might come into the part about raising finance for the new village?? Im not sure..

I don't do CenterParc, but I can give you a few notes on exchange rates and the economy:

Exchange rates involve the cost of buying pounds. If the pound is strong against foreign currencies, then it is more expensive to buy British currency. This might put foreigners off going to Britain (ie. Centerparcs) on holiday, as they are spending more money than they might elsewhere.

Fiscal and monetary policy will effect the amount of disposable income that British people have. If taxation/interest rates are high, then people will be spending less, so Centerparcs might either lose customers, or lower their prices to kickstart spending again.

You can apply these policies to the business cycle. When the economy is in a boom, then the government will increase interest rates and taxation in order to deflate the economy (ie. reduce people's spending). If the economy is in a recession, the government will increase spending and decrease taxation/interest rates in order to reflate the economy (ie. increase people's spending)

I can also give a few notes on internal/external sources of finance:

Internal sources (eg. retained profit)
Advantages: No interest to be paid
Disadvantages: Might not be spread out over time - could cause cash flow difficulties

External sources (eg. debentures, share issues)
Advantages: Can be spread out over time - better for cash flow
Disadvantages: Interest may have to be paid, could involve legal action if repayments are not met.

Sorry I can't apply this as much to Centerparcs, but there is no case study in my specification

Another suggestion for revision might be to do a PEST analysis before the exam to see how external factors affect the busiess:

Political
Economic
Social
Technological
