Lecture times

Hi all,

I was speaking to a friend who went to the UoS a while ago and they remembered (vaguely) that some of their lectures started at 8am, but couldn't be sure. I found this hard to believe, so I was wondering if some courses do have 8am lectures. I was under the impression that the earliest start time was 9am...

9:00 is the earliest that I've ever seen. The area around the union and lecture theatres was always pretty empty whenever I happened to be there at 8:00

Some of the more demanding degrees like Medicine, Dentistry etc. can have timetables that don't follow the standard pattern but usually lectures are held between 9 and 5 (possibly 6, I've never had any particularly late lectures on my course).
