Posting on behalf of my boyfriend who is in the process of applying to study for a foundation degree in Business at Man Met, Leeds, Hull, Keele and UCLAN. He has 220 UCAS points, A levels in English Literature, Media, Graphic Design and an AS level in IT.

He'll be 22 when he hopefully starts the course in 2014, and is applying alone through UCAS. We was just wondering if anybody could provide any tips on how to boost his application considering he isn't applying through a college. Is there anything in particular that universities look for when selecting for a foundation degree?

Also, if anyone has done or is doing a foundation degree at any of these universities and has feedback please share!

    Thank you
