The reputation of Doncaster just keeps on getting worse.

' the first ever to have its children's services department forcibly removed and handed over to an independent trust'.

This comment sums up my thoughts...

'Is this the start of the privatisation of child protection? Is this a government that wants no part of protecting cildren, other than in the role of an inspector of services.?
How will this "new" Doncaster service be funded and how will the amount of funding required be decided? who will manage the finances?
What qualifications will this commisioner have.? Will they have the knowledge to supervise difficult child protection cases. What about their value base,, what will they understand about the phase "the childs needs are paramount" ?
What work will be done with the staff to encourage confidence and self esteem, that must be at an all time low after so much negativety from inspectors.
What will be done about all the other agencies that have contributed to the faiilure of child protection services. Child protection has to be multi agency'
