    Sad day for football.

Would explain all the oddness surrounding the Untied bid for Fabregas though.

It is making more sense now. Really sad. Wish him the best.

So far Rubi has been announced to be temporary manager.

Yeah, needs to prioritize. Life is more important then football and hopefully the third times the charm to overcome it.

There's a bit of a Pulis for Barcelona campaign going on Twitter.

Wish him all the best if he has had a cancer re-lapse. He didn't do a bad job in his first season, winning La Liga but his spells away did affect the team but I imagine, once he's fully recovered, he might be back in the future whether behind the scenes or coaching.

    Whose Rubi? Roura?

If not, then it's tough to see who could replace him. Laudrup's staying at Swansea and De Boer seems happy at Ajax.

Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia aka Rubi was manager at Girona.

I think it'll be Rubi or Heynckes.

Terrible news. Big news in terms of the managerial roundabout, of course, but that's entirely secondary. Hope he recovers well, he was doing a fantastic job before he had to step down the first time.

As for who's gonna take over as manager it's not really that complicated of a transition. Ever since Guardiola overhauled the team it plays by itself. The most important thing is to get someone that isn't very bright, doesn't have any ideas of changing the style and simply keeps the team exactly as it is.

Hmm....he's not really done outstanding things in coaching side of things outside of coaching the Barca B so it'd be an appointment of someone who understands the club, principles but not too sure on that. I think they need a tad more experience - Guardiola, Villanova gone - they could do with experience and stability. But maybe it's an appointment as its difficult to get anyone else.
