School lads vs real lads

The whole time I was at school, I never had any lads (from school) attracted to me. I was always "fat", "ugly" or a "dyke" in their eyes. Either that, or just uninteresting and unimportant. But as soon as I started meeting guys out of school, friends of friends, lads in the pub, guys on the net etc I have suddenly become "gorgeous", "pretty" and "beautiful".

I have not changed in my looks or personality. If anything, I am even more complicated and unattractive. Whats going on?

You see a massive change in attitudes once you leave school. Suddenly guys find that they arent on the top of the heap any more, they are working in ****ty little jobs and have grown up. They now see a value in things. Of course a lot of guys come out of their shells between 16 and 18 too, once puberty damps down

Ive changed a lot since being in lower school. I never was a good looking guy (still arent) but Ive really come out of my shell, and when we are talking about good looking lasses, we also take into account things like brains and general stuff (sorry brain jam) as well.

Of course some guys never grow up. And sadly pay for it embarrasingly.

I think you mistook me.

While I was at school, lads there ignored me. But at the same time, lads the same age (say, 17) that I met out of school would find me attractive. Its not that I was meeting more grown up lads, just that the school environment seems to give people a diffarent impression of me.

But it is true that older lads I meet view me more favourably than lads my own age (18)

Maybe it was a particularly unflattering uniform?

Maybe it's because of the image you built up in your school, eg. if you're regarded by people as unpopular and spotty, people would automatically look down on you even perhaps without meaning to, they've just been influenced.

But outside school, the people don't know you so they just base it on what they see. Which is good as it means you are truly gorgeous.

I can't believe you chose to live in Stafford.

You might be right though. I'd not rule out drunken desperation coupled with deteriorated perception skills.

It does have alot to do with your reputation/peer group in school. I was totally ignored. I met a "popular guy" in a pub last week, he told me he didn't recognise me, or remember me from school...he came over to chat me up, he was all over me.

Its not that they find you ugly, you're just invisible, not nice I know but its probably true....in any other situation they probably would notice you and find you hot.

A spelling mistake. What a hoot!

Actually, I regularly get told that I'm hoot. Serious.

maybe it's because you spend so long at school that people still remember you as a little year 7 and they've seen you grow up?

Reply 19

Probably because the guys you meet outside of school like in pubs want to screw you.
