Did I look like an idiot?

I went out last night, and this guy was there that I kinda saw for a while a couple of months ago. We stopped because I wanted a relationship and he didn't. Anyway we hung out with each other most of the night, and I was flirting with him, he also flirted back. The other day tho,and he asked me if I wanted to go to his which I thought was strange, i didnt go though. Anyway last night I got really drunk and I before he left I was asking him to kiss me, but he wouldnt because he had cold sores and he was asking me why I wanted to kiss him anyway. He left without saying bye and I text him saying sorry. He said that he wants to be just friends. I dont get him though, he was flirty one min and cold the next. I dunno. Did I make myself look stupid?

Maybe he wasn't actually flirting with you? Or he saw something he didn't see last night when you were drunk, or maybe he doesn't like drunks? There's so many possibilities, just ring him and ask him, straight up. That's the only way you're going to get a definite answer.

Nah. Sounds like it's his problem in all honesty. It can be tough going out with someone, then being just friends. Just forget about it, and get back to normal asap.

No you dont look stupid- he probably isnt even gonna think too much about it- if he likes you, he still will, and if he just sees you as a friend he'll just think you were a lil bit drunk

Some people flirt because they like the attention without actually being interested. He sounds like that, you should forget about him. Though I suppose he deserves credit for admitting that he just want to be friends. Flirting might just be fun for him without any meaning.
