I've been discharged from hospital. :biggrin: Praise be to God! :yay: Big thank you to everyone in here who's supported me over the past seven months. Your kind words andprayers kept me going through the most testing period of my life. :hugs:

God bless you :smile:

“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”

Congrats lovely :hugs: :woohoo:

I need to get back to worship. The world has tempted me and my foot is entangled. My heart is heavy and God is calling me.

To need to actually visit this thread more often :smile:

Zephaniah 3 v 17
17 The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”

You have such a lovely user name, it made me smile:smile:, what you said reminded me of this beautiful worship song.

Has anyone heard of the International Christian Church. They have churches in different cities eg London International Christian Church in North London.

I used to attend one in my city and I have mixed views on it tbh.
My brother goes there and he's always involved with church activities; evangelising and just putting church first above all.
He's pretty much deserting our family and only care about the church.

I also did my research on the church and it's practices. Some people call it a cult.

I need advice or another ones opinion please :biggrin:

I have to say I don't know much about them but looking at one of the links you provided this doesn't sound right, its way off infact:-

"Psychology

Furthermore, they're cultish in something even worse and they would hide this until well after initiations. It first seeps in unconsciously during the intermediate stages of membership. They demand absolute submission without question to someone higher ranked in the church. They have a pyramid power structure headed by their church evangelist. Not only that, but they believe their sins are "covered" by their leader if their leader should order them to do anything sinful. To them, it's not sin as long as they were submissive."

Decidedly dodgy.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge can give some good advice.

What do your parents think?

Yeah it's dodgy and everything we say to him, he will dispute it.

Parents are totally against him going but words are futile; he'll still go.

O God, yours is the day, yours also the night. You established the moon and the sun. You fixed the boundaries of the earth. You made summer and winter. (Psalm 74:17)

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

A little something to focus on in times of difficulty, God Bless:smile:

Can you please pray that my AQA M1 exam tomorrow morning will be super easy for me and the grade boundaries would be low. I am freaking out about this exam. On the other hand it is my last AS exam wahoo. :biggrin:

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things:smile:

Time for another sporadic update.

Still digging holes. Er, that's it.

On a scale of one to ten, how odd does the practice of reading the entire psalter over a recently deceased person seem? It is a standard Orthodox thing to do, but no muggles seem to think it is usual.

I think people find the idea of standing in a room with a dead person for four hours off-putting, if not outright morbid.

Doesn't seem like a usual thing to do, but if it's what the deceased would have wanted, it seems like a nice thing to do.

I has "thanks for helping us through confirmation" chocolates :teeth:
