I had the BrightRed guides for Adv Higher and Leckie and Leckie for Highers and I would say Leckie and Leckie would be better in terms of extra knowledge you gain.Knowledge shows you much more about the required topics than what you need to know and the questions are the best, boring but the best.In black and white and lack of pictures.
Bright Red has nice pictures and is in colour but there was no answers to the questions in book so I had to figure out if I had achieved the correct answer but the diagrams where good for the sciences.

But don't just get revision guides; get textbooks. When I did my Highers I was amazed to find that my fellow students had no intentions of reading their textbooks. It was "too much to read" apparently. Yep, they failed. That's the wrong attitude to studying for a Higher. It's a lot more intensive than SG, but it's worth working hard for 8 months to get good passes.

    Good luck!
