Hi, I was wondering if someone could just help me out with the following questions. I've done them but just wanna double check my answers:

1. It is known 80% of the seeds of particular flowers will germinate in the right conditions. If a packet of 10 seeds is purchased, find the probability that:

a.) at most two will fail to germinate

b.) exactly 8 will germinate

c.) Between 3 and 6 seeds inclusive will germinate

[The answers I get are a.) 0.678 b.) 0.302 c.) 0.121, all to 3 S.F.]

2. A computer help line receives on average 2 calls every 10 minutes.

a.) Find the probability that they will receive less than 5 calls in a ten minute period.

b.) Find the probability that they will receive exactly 12 calls in a thirty minute period.

c.) Find the probability that they wil receive exactly 4 calls in each of the next 3 ten minute periods, giving your answer to three significant figures.

[I got a.) 0.9473 b.) 0.0113 c.) 0.000734, again to 3 S.F.]

All your answers are right. In 2(a) you give 4 SFs rather than the 3 SFs that you claim.
