The difference between MSc and an MA in Social Work?

Hello,

I will be applying for postgrad social work and have noticed that some are a masters of science and others a master of arts. Are there any significant differences in these courses?

Thanks!

Not massively, no. There may be some minute variations in what is taught to distinguish the difference between a MA or MSc, but both courses will lead to a professional qualification enabling you to practice Social Work. Also, the HCPC governs what is needed to be included on each course so that it meets UK standards.
