Would you take this as a rejection?

I asked a girl out on a certain day to play a sport (it was her idea at a party, but she was drunk).

She replied via text and said "Im busy all day today, sorry!"

I'm taking this as a rejection, because she could have been like "Maybe next week" etc, do you know what I mean? Do you think she was letting me down lightly?

At this party her friends said she liked me, but they were all drunk so I dunno.

Her friend told me this party before I askedd her, that she was playing hard to get. I think I'll leave it

Sometimes I'll say that to someone and within the next few times I speak to them I'll say "Oh, yeah, I'm free next whenever if you want to go out like you suggested?" Be patient!
