Fed up with shaving

Does anybody get fed up with shaving? I hate doing it. I do it every day, it takes 20 minutes and by the end of the day I need to shave again. I also get razor burn every time and usualy cut myself a bit. It might sound a bit crazy and stupid but I was thinking whether something like electrolysis would stop the facial hair growing lol, not that I would do that.

I can rarely be bothered to do it properly with a razor, but I can get rid of it pretty well in just a few minutes with my electric that I use most of the time.

You should come on over to Beardy Soc for all your facial hair related needs.

20 minutes? Jesus, what do you do?!

I also shave every day, and it takes me 5 minutes max. Warm water in sink, thow some over your face, put on some shaving foam, scrape it all off again, job done.

Rugged! Shaving every day? That's hardcore - no wonder you're sick of it!

20 minutes?! I take around 2. And if you're suffering from razor burn a good idea is to leave it for a couple of days and give your face a chance to recover. I only shave 2-3 times a week, but then again the stubble doesn't really bother me.

And don't grow a beard. I did once, it's not a good path to venture down.

I very much doubt that what you've read is true. If that was the case I think it'd have been all over the papers and telly.
Do you have a link to the research?

Everything causes cancer these days

I suppose shaving can cause slight skin damage which could lead to cancer, but cutting hair (i.e. on the top of your head) surely can't. You can't get hair cancer can you, it's not "live" cells in the same way the rest of your body is.

Does no-one else think that was a tongue-in-cheek comment there?

haha, I can see the research now - 99.9% of cancer sufferers used to cut their hair on a regular basis.
On a related note, 100% of cancer sufferers breathe oxygen.

Also, 100% of cancer sufferers were Di-Hydrogen Monoxide addicts...

everyday is way too often - do it once a week - leave a week of stubble, its sexy and girls love a man with a bit of stubble, obviosuly not too much otherwise its just a hazard.....

I have to shave about once a fortnight. Win.

Reply 18

the answer to the OP#s problem - is to stop shaving. Grow it out a bit, and invest in a beard trimmer to keep it neat.

Its not that bad , its your own choice whether to or not!!
