# EDEXCEL PAPER 2 HIGHER....Hell that was an easy one!! watch

1. i thought i was doing intermediate ..sometime into the paper...

But jesus christ that was easy, and the grade boundries are going to be probably 95%-100% for A*..i think..
2. they were easy last year as well

if you have done last year's paper as practice, would you say it was even easier than that...?
3. Erm..i guess it was easier...
4. Much easier. I finished in 60 minutes. I spent most of my time trying to find the best position to sleep on those crap desks!
5. I found it alrightish. Im confident of 75%!
QUESTION
If I got 40% on paper 1, 75% on paper 2 and a* (full marks) coursework, whats the chances of me getting an A?
I know a lot of people think the boundaries will be extremley high, but the vast majority of my class found it quite tough! Taking the whole country's opinion in, I doubt it will be that high.
6. That was SO EASY.

I kept thinking when is it going to get hard, it never did though. Q24 was so simple.

Probably because the Non Calc was pretty hard, even though i found that OK.

1 thing though, grade boundaries will be high.

What did ya all get for Q23? i got 21.7 ....
7. I think both papers were easy.
I think I know why, because I actually revised, whereas for mocks and past papers I don't revise.
8. hmm i guess it was quite easyy but then i get worried bout the grade boundires.. they r bound to go up like for a B u need abround 50% and for an A 70%.. it was an easy paper though
bubi
9. What did you all get for the quadratic, using the formula??

That's completely stupid. The grade boundary for A* is going to be nothing near that. It is going to be 85% maximum. Remember the calculator paper wasn't that easy.

However, it was a easy paper.
11. Yeah use forumla.

6.something and something else.
13. Um, damn. Somehow I think I got that wrong, I got 3. something and 1. something, they added to 5 but what did they have to multiply to? =/

me too.
I substituted it into the equation and it was wrong :|
I ended up with like 5 + or - the square root of 7 all over 2... hmmmm *scratches head*
Never mind though, ill get some for working it out!

Yeah that's what I got too, 5+/- root 7, over 2. I guess we'll get 1/2 out of the 3 marks though, even if we're wrong.

The height of the tower... lots of sums

Quadratic... hmm mine looked correct, cant remember values though.
19. Ahh, that was the easiest Maths paper I've done..
100% or 98+ definitely !

I'm not sure what quadratic question you people are talking about but for the triangle I got 21.7 ( I didnt use quadratics to get that though? )
20. From what I can remember, the quadratic was x^2 - 5x - 8 = 0.
I completed the square to get:
(x - 2.5)^2 - 14.25 = 0
x - 2.5 = sq14.25
x = 2.5 +/- sq 14.25
Which gives 6.27 and -1.27.
