GAME Application Form

Just downloaded a application form for GAME and would like some help answering some of their questions.

Why do you want to work for GAME?

How would you deliver a great in-store customer experience?

What can you do to ensure that customers keep returning to GAME?

Why do you want to work for GAME?

If I was filling in the application, I'd say "I want to work for GAME because it's a leading and well known retailer within the UK offering its services and products for gaming fans or anyone who has an interest in games. We share the same values in terms of customer care etc. I'm gaming fan myself and this would be the perfect environment for me to progress and do what I am passionate about etc.

I'm not experienced at all and this is a generic idea of what I would be saying. You just have to relate to yourself

How would you deliver a great in-store customer experience?

"I would deliver a great in-store customer experience by being knowledgeable of our products/services and being able to engage with customers whilst providing superb customer service and being there whenever a customer will need me. I would definitely go an extra mile for every customer visiting our store". This actually sounds a bit lame but can't think of any other example because I have 0 customer service experience

What can you do to ensure that customers keep returning to GAME?
Have no idea now how I would answer into this question :K: Probably something like Providing excellent customer service, responding to customer's needs promptly and with professionalism along the lines..

If you want to lie that is fine, if you want to be truthful its 'Game was a leading retailer that now sells steam codes and console games since they went to war with steam and lost. And who's staff are console users who don't know what a pc is. Oh and a retailer who's website is cheaper then the shops' but I advise you to use his not mine. :-)

You have to tell what the company wants to hear and not what you actually think of them :mmm:

I've got made redundant last month from the Westfield branch. They have ridiculous targets, they want you to be very competitive with other staff managers treat you with no respect all you do is deal with complaints from customers all day. They have this new policy which is so bad that if a console don't work they have to call this service and get a ref number before we can do anything in store customers get so pissy it's horrible. They asked me if I wanted to me kept on in another smaller store I said no I would rather have the redundancy pay ! Not worth it!

Their dedication to fair play, professionalism, and skill really make them stick out.
