parents/bf issues!

ive been with my bf over a year now but my parents still cant seem to accept him. wen hes at my house or anything theyre nice to him but afterwards i can tell they dont want me to be with him. i thought after a while itd get better but it hasnt! im goin to uni in september and theyre hopin i think that this will split us up as he isnt goin but i really dont want it to. i think its cuz him and his family r different to my family - he dropped out of skool at 16 and got a job - but i stayed on and im goin to uni. they think i can do better but i really like him. my sister likes him a lot but its really startin to annoy me cuz mum keeps sayin stuff like 'well never hear any weddin bells as long as ur wiv him cuz ur dad will never say yes' ive tryed and tryed tlkin to them and they know how much i like him but ahhh!! wot can i do!any advice!?

if your in love then who honestly gives a **** what poeple say. if my parents didnt like the woman i was dating then i wouldnt care less. the questions you have to ask yourself is, are YOU able to see yourself with this guy after you have gone to universtiy, met other guys that do the same course as you, finished your degree and started a career?
