    Hey
I am trying to choose a uni, it's between Glasgow and Edinburgh for law.I have unconditionals for both , this September.

I just wondered which has better reputation, heard Edinburgh is good but I'm not really sure, I just picked them because they are the 2 main unis in scotland.

The Edinburgh open day was pretty crappy, and the students were boring and not as friendly compared to Glasgow. Also seemed to be a lot of er.. poshos? I heard it has a reputation for that. Anyway i don't want to not go there on the basis of that if it has a better reputation than Glasgow.

Anybody here studying law at Edinburgh?

Also what's the deal with freshers week etc at Edinburgh, do i have to matriculate during it or can i matriculate during the first week of term?
Also when do unis send out book lists etc?

I also have an unconditional from Edinburgh.

Well done for getting an offer, this year alot of people with AAAAA in highers got rejected.

Academically Edinburgh is a bit more highly regarded for law but going to Glasgow instead won't really cause you any problems. Just choose the place you like best.

People with AAAAA's got rejected? I never knew that. Although I suppose it depends on the subjects the A's are in.
I got my uc for AAAAB and my friend got one for AAABB.

Did you only apply to Scottish universities? I'd say Edinburgh is the best amongst the 2 you mentioned.

Bear in mind you'll only be qualified for scots law. If you want to work in scotland that's fine but it's something worth considering.

you would expect law to be a subject ful of rahs in Edinbrugh. Infact its not, subjects like history are full or rahs though. The reason for this is no English rahs come to Edinburgh to do scots law, only people from scotland will do law in scotland.

I've accepted Edinburgh, so i'll be there in September, probably have to miss the bulk of freshers week though.
Decided since I already know Glasgow as a city etc, live near it, to move further away for uni.
