gf has a job i dont...

does anyone else think its an issue or is it just me? i mean after summer i'll be off to uni so its not as if i need a longterm job.... but shes got a job for the summer and i dont... i feel... useless?

It's not really an issue - the only time I can think of it being an issue is if you don't appreciate that she may be tired when she comes back from work or if she ends up paying when you go out. Why don't you get a job?

It's fairly easy to get a summer job, apart from anything else it's a good way to save some money up for uni. After GCSEs I worked through the summer as a building labourer, did the same last year and found a part-time job last November, where they're giving me more hours over the summer.
Face it, what else woild you be doing over the summer?

I'm in the same situation really. My boyfirend has a summer job lined up in an architechts practice and i havent got anything yet, not that i havent tried! cant find anything!

whether or not you get a job is up to you. however if you want one i would start applying/ asking around striaght away before all the uni students take them for the summer. It maybe a good idea to get a job, then you can buy your gf pressies and treat her and then you can also save up for uni - fresher's week is expensive if you want to have a good time

if you feel useless then theres a simple solution...get a job. there are plenty around, try pubs for some part time bar work or cafes resteraunts corner shops etc. there are probably adverts in your local newspaper or in shop windows. if you really feel useless then get a job or stop complaining! also the extra money is handy for buying cool things..

my b/f has a job and i don't.
yeah it annoys me that i don't have a great deal of money, but its not from lack of trying to get a job. plus atm education comes 1st, so i'm waiting untill all exam are cleared. wait till you have the time to get a job and don't get one cause you feel useless.
