You'll find it much more beneficial to cut bread out altogether if you eat a lot of it. Wholemeal is better for you, but I don't recommend eating as much as you like if you're trying to lose weight.
It's better in terms of filling you up; meaning that in fact you eat less of it:p: and it also contains more fibre than white bread, giving it a generally higher nutritional value.
And i suppose whether or not you can eat as much as you want depends on how much you want to eat; surely if you're trying to lose weight you'll have to set yourself limits?

Bread isnt good for you in terms of losing weight generally, but i buy Burgen's Soya and Linseed bread from Sainsburys. Its low GI blah blah.

is eating captain birdseyes cod portions alright for someone on a diet? i heard fish is meant to be good for you!
Wholemeal bread doesent generally have any less calories in it than white but it is more nutritionally valuble. Cod portions are super healthy unless...they are in batter/sauce.
As far as I have heard (and I'm not saying it's true) white bread bloats you more than wholemeal and wholemeal is nutritionally more beneficial in terms of fibre content. You don't need to cut out bread if your dieting. I read that in order to lose weight at a steady rate you should eat 1500 calories a day. If you love bread, don't cut it out completely because it's really not necessary. If you eat a little less of everything then you will lose weight you can eat what you like as long as you don't eat more than 1500 calories per day. that means you could eat 1500 calories worth of chocolate or potatoes or pasta and still lose weight (you just wouldn't be able to eat anything else and you'd become ill). Don't completely cut out a certain food group just monitor how many calories you eat a day and eat less of the naughtier foods  xx
you went annon for this?

You can eat 34 slices of bread a day to keep your healthy, but nothing else but water.
Thats what I learnt from my GCSE biology exam.
I wouldnt reccomend it though..nutritionally it isnt very sound.
