basically still havent applied for student accom, do I have to stay in it for my first year??

No :smile:. You can go into private halls or a normal flat that you rent from a landlord.

It's a lot easier to organise tbh, because you can do it through the university. As a Fresher it makes sense, however I don't get people that stay in halls all three years, I hated halls.
