Can you quote a PHD thesis in your Dissertation

Hello, I am interested to know whether it is ok to quote a PHD thesis in a Dissertation? I will be grateful if anyone can let me know whether this is allowed.

If I remember correctly, I quoted a Master's thesis in my undergrad dissertation so I imagine a PhD thesis would be fine. Admittedly it was one that was also quoted in a journal.
If in doubt ask your tutor/lecturer/supervisor.

Yeah, you can. It's not uncommon. For example, in the article I am reading just now the chap has referenced one:

C. Kit Good, “England Goes to War, 1914–15” (Ph.D. diss., University of Liverpool, 2002).

If it's from a few years ago, check it wasn't published in a journal, though.

Yep, absolutely. I think I referenced one for my undergrad dissertation. I've certainly just referenced a BA dissertation for my masters.
